This was a brief to explore a childhood memory and represent the story as a book. Challenging what the book is as an object.

I focused on the traditional bonfire night held between our family and our next-door neighbours. I was young and I was allowed to stay up late for it so I never wanted it to end.

The text on back reads:

THE MÖBIUS STRIP
OR MÖBIUS BAND IS A
SURFACE WITH ONLY ONE SIDE
AND ONE BOUNDRY COMPONENT.
THIS MATHMATICAL STRUCTURE IS
NON-ORIENTABLE AND
NEVERENDING.

THIS IS THE ASH
COLLECTED THE
MORNING AFTER THE
5TH OF NOVEMBER
1996.

When deciding what memory to focus on I realised a lot of things I remembered vividly, interacted strongly with all my senses.
